Winter is Coming...

...no it's not yet time for season 4 of Game of Thrones.  Winter is coming and there are 457,000 local Maryland residents who will be living at or under the federal poverty level.  These people are most vulnerable to hunger during the cold winter months.  UMBC Men's Rugby will be giving back to the community by collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Maryland Food Bank.  Any donation, small or large, will make a difference in the lives of those in need this winter!

Most Needed Items

  • Canned Meat (tuna, chicken, etc.)

  • Peanut Butter

  • Pasta

  • Fruits (canned or dried)

  • Canned Soup

  • Canned Vegetables

  • Sauces / Salad dressing

  • Evaporated & Powdered Milk

  • Infant Formula

  • Oatmeal

  • Rice

  • Nuts and Seeds

  • Beans (canned or dried)

How to Donate

If you are a UMBC student or faculty and wish to bring donations to campus, there is a clearly marked donation box in the Commons by the CIC (the front desk where you get things printed and buy tickets to events).

If you are making a larger donation or can't otherwise reach the UMBC campus, please contact club President Tyler Tippett at tippett01@umbc.edu to organize a pick-up of donations.

We need donations in by December 11th, 2013!

Thank you for your generosity this holiday season!
